This age old practice has been perfected over the centuries, and is becoming increasingly mainstream in healthcare today. A lot people who are interested in trying acupuncture wonder if the needles are going to hurt. You may feel a slight prick when the needle is inserted, but it’s done so quickly and the needles are so fine that it’s often completely painless.
Recent research has shown acupuncture to be effective for helping a number of conditions including (but not limited to) pain, anxiety, depression, allergies/asthma, and digestive disorders. Like many interventions, it may require several treatments to receive the maximum benefit. Any acupuncture you may need can be referred to our in-house acupuncturist, Paul Reynolds.
Paul’s warm and assuring presence will help put you at ease. His treatments go beyond simply placing needles in precise locations and letting them do all the work. He’ll be there to attend to any sensations, thoughts, or feelings that may arise during treatment and help you to explore their significance, if any.
